Fat Moose stands for outdoor adventure – made for those who feel at home in the wild. And sometimes, that outdoor inspiration turns into reality: Christian Bisgaard, CEO of Fat Moose, is currently preparing for an extraordinary journey together with an international team.

On May 3rd, he’ll begin his expedition across the Greenland Ice Sheet – on cross-country skis, pulling a 70 kg sled loaded with gear, food, and fuel, facing 600 kilometers of ice and snow ahead. The expedition is expected to last around 30 days, with daily stages of up to 11 hours under the midnight sun. Each day, Christian will burn around 9,000 calories and consume about 1 kg of food – and yet still lose up to 10% of his body weight.

The first part of the journey crosses a large glacier to reach the ice sheet, climbing up to elevations of 2,600 meters through crevasses, ice ridges, and rough terrain – one of the most technical and demanding segments of the entire expedition.

The team consists of seven people, including expedition leader Caroline from Canada, who has already crossed Greenland twice and completed a solo expedition to the South Pole.

An expedition through glacier crevasses, across icy plateaus, and into harsh and wild terrain – possibly even involving a polar bear encounter. The journey will last about a month, completely offline. However, the team will stay in contact via satellite to share daily GPS coordinates and receive weather updates. For those who’d like to follow along, short daily updates will be posted here:
